3.2 Customers

When you order a product online or contact us regarding an order, we collect your name, e-mail address, phone number, shipping and billing address (including street name, zip code, city, and country) to facilitate your order. The data is also utilized so that RuggleUp can manage any returns, exchanges, and complaints, as well as to communicate with you about the order and to respond to any inquiries or comments you might have regarding the products. The phone number is gathered to send you a text notification when your package is available at your pick-up location. The legal grounds for processing this data stem from the necessity of fulfilling RuggleUp contractual obligations to the customer.

RuggleUp also retains your purchase history to streamline the return process, replace your product, manage complaints, and communicate with you about the purchase. The legal foundation for this is a balancing of interests, wherein RuggleUp legitimate interest is to facilitate the administration of returns, product replacements, and complaint resolutions.

If we need to conduct a manual refund via bank transfer, we may process your bank details. The legal basis for such processing is that it is necessary for RuggleUp to adhere to a legal obligation.

RuggleUp also keeps information about returns for accounting reasons. The retention of return data is based on legal obligations of RuggleUp.

If you purchase a product as a sole proprietorship, RuggleUp will process your personal identity number, as it is identical to the sole proprietorship’s registration number. The legal basis for processing is that it is necessary for Nordic Knots to fulfill its contractual obligations towards you as a Company Customer.

RuggleUp may additionally process your e-mail address and phone number for direct marketing purposes, specifically to inform you about products, special events, or promotions. This processing is based on the “balancing of interests” legal basis, where RuggleUp legitimate interest lies in marketing its products via relevant promotions to existing customers.
